Sri Lanka, Nov. 22 -- The Maharagama Police have launched an investigation after discovering the body of a man with visible injuries inside a parked three-wheeler near 4th Lane, Gammana Road, Maharagama, last night (21).

The body was found following a tip-off received by police.

The deceased has been identified as a 57-year-old resident of Galgamuwa in the Kurunegala District.

Given the injuries observed, investigators are treating the incident as a possible homicide rather than a natural death.

Maharagama Police have initiated a comprehensive probe to determine the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

A magisterial inquiry is scheduled to be conducted, after which the body will be sent for a post-mortem examination.
