Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- Bank of Ceylon (BOC), in collaboration with Sri Lanka Post, inaugurated the BOC Agent Banking Centre in Analaitivu, a small island off the Jaffna Peninsula with nearly 650 families and a population of around 3,000.
For the first time, residents of Analaitivu can now access essential banking services without travelling to the mainland. The new centre offers savings accounts, remittances, Mithuru group loan payments, MSME facilities and digital banking solutions through BOC Connect.
This access is expected to empower fishermen, farmers, women, youth, and small businesses to strengthen their livelihoods and financial security.
