Srilanka, Feb. 24 -- Leader of the House, Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Bimal Ratnayake said in Parliament that the public are invited to come up with solutions to prevent and minimise the deaths of wild elephants due to train collisions.
The Minister stated that about 20 reasons for wild elephants colliding with trains have been identified and the Government is implementing a number of short and long-term solutions to protect wild elephants.
The Minister made this statement while presenting Ministerial announcements.
