Sri Lanka, July 21 -- The Bill to abolish pensions for former Presidents and MPs will be passed very soon, said Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar.

The Minister stated that except for the President's Houses in Kandy and Colombo, all other presidential residences will be repurposed into productive investment projects for the welfare of the nation and its people.

He made these remarks during his visit to Delft on Saturday (19), where he met with representatives of public organisations and fisheries societies to listen to their concerns and to explain the development plans to be implemented in the area.
