Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- The Hajj Committee Chairman Reyaz Mihular advised pilgrims not to hand over their passports to unauthorised brokers and instead deal directly with the appointed Hajj operators. Ninety three Hajj operators have been appointed to assist pilgrims.
The Chairman made this announcement at a media briefing held at the Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Department premises recently.
The Hajj Committee has also requested all registered pilgrims to open a Hajj Account and a deposit of Rs. 750,000 by November 10.
