Sri Lanka, May 8 -- The Small and Medium Bakery Owner's Association (SMBOA) urged the reduction of prices of raw materials like yeast, margarine, vegetable oil and few other ingredients.

They said that there is no way of reducing the price of these products as highlighted by consumers unless these are not reduced.

SMBOA President Niruksha Kumara told the Daily News said although the value of US dollar has been showing a significant drop during the last few weeks even the prices of these raw materials have not yet been reduced by traders especially in Colombo and suburban markets.
