Sri Lanka, March 24 -- The Awards ceremony for school students who excelled in 5 Olympiad competitions at the all-island level, organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Physics, was held at the New Arts Hall of the Faculty of Science premises of the University of Colombo recently.

The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Science and Technology, Professor Krishantha Abeysena, and with the participation of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Senior Professor H.D. Karunathana. At the event Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals and Certificates were presented to 350 schoolchildren across the island.
