Sri Lanka, Nov. 11 -- Police Media Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Attorney-at-Law F. U. Wootler has appealed to the public to refrain from posting selfies on social media that reveal their location while going on excursions, pilgrimages, and other trips.
He warned that such posts could provide useful information to criminals targeting travelers or their homes and properties.
Speaking at a special media briefing held today (11) at the Police Media Division Auditorium in Suhurupaya, Battaramulla, ASP Wootler emphasized the importance of choosing a safe and reliable vehicle for trips, as well as verifying the credentials of the driver.
