Srilanka, April 29 -- Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Paul Stephens, paid a visit to the sacred town of Kataragama yesterday(28).
During his visit, he first paid homage to the historic Kirivehera and met with Chaitanya Raja Thero.
He then proceeded to the Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya, where he sought divine blessings.
Following the religious observances, the High Commissioner met with Dishan Wickramaratne Gunasekara, the Basnayake Nilame of the Devalaya.
Their cordial discussion concluded with the presentation of a memento to the High Commissioner as a gesture of goodwill.
