Srilanka, June 3 -- Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Richard Marles, arrived in Sri Lanka last night (June 2) on an official visit aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and deepening security cooperation between the two nations.

Marles was accompanied by a 15-member delegation that landed at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake, aboard a special aircraft operated by the Australian Ministry of Defence. The delegation was warmly received by Sri Lanka's Deputy Minister of Public Security, Sunil Watagala, along with senior government officials.
