Sri Lanka, Dec. 9 -- COLOMBO, SRI LANKA - The Australian Government has pledged a total of AUS$ 3.5 million in humanitarian aid to support Sri Lanka's recovery efforts, following the devastating impact of Cyclone Ditwah. Australia's support began with an initial AUS$ 1 million commitment announced on Monday (1), followed by an additional AUS$ 2.5 million to scale up the response. The total funding is part of a broader Australian Aid package for the Indo-Pacific region, which has faced multiple natural disasters since October.
