Srilanka, April 18 -- The Vice President of the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) of Sri Lanka Felix Fernando said that in order to protect Sri Lanka's apparel sector from the new tax policies imposed by the United States, attention should be drawn on attracting new export markets promptly.
While paying close attention to maintaining the American market, Fernando said that new free trade agreements should be concluded with other countries within the next 90 days. The Vice President said that the US market share is essential for the survival of the Sri Lankan apparel sector and the government should intervene and commit to finding other markets while it exists.
