Sri Lanka, Dec. 2 -- The Athurugiriya entrance of the Southern Expressway, which was temporarily closed due to flooding caused by recent heavy rains, has now been reopened, authorities confirmed.

The closure had prevented motorists from accessing the expressway through this interchange, disrupting travel in the area.
