Sri Lanka, Aug. 10 -- Colombo bourse reached its four months high yesterday recording Rs.5 bn+ turnover with LIOC leading the pack, following the announcement of receiving approval for the establishment of 50 new filling stations by Lanka IOC PLC, the local unit of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).

Thus, All-Share Price Index increased by 77.0 points (+0.9%) to close at 8,500.0 for the day whilst S&P SL20 Index gained by 9.7 points (+0.3%) to close at 2,803.9.

Aitken Spence, Chevron Lubricants, Lanka IOC, Commercial Bank and Ceylon Tobacco remained as the top positive contributors to the ASPI during the day. Further, the broader market's total turnover stood at Rs. 5,341.2 mn against the 12-month average daily turnover of Rs. 4,464.2 mn, ...
