Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- Akkaraipattu As-Siraj MV won the Eastern Province boys under-20 cricket tournament when they beat Eravur Macan Markar Central College in the final at Trincomalee Hindu College Playground recently. The cricket championship was held as a part of Eastern Province School Sports Festival-2025.

This tournament was organised by the Eastern Province Education Department under the guidance of the Eastern Province Education Department Director S.R.Hasanthi while Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee district school teams participated.

As-Siraj MV team batted first in the final and scored 65 runs in five overs. In reply, Eravur Macan Markar Central College team was bundled out for 29.
