Sri Lanka, Dec. 11 -- The Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, conducted a field visit to Chilaw yesterday(10) to oversee ongoing disaster relief operations and infrastructure restoration.

During the visit, the Army Chief inspected the homes of several Army personnel and distributed dry rations to affected families, providing immediate relief. He also visited families residing at the Sri Sudarshanaramaya temple premises.

Lieutenant General Rodrigo met with members of the Japanese Disaster Relief (JDR) Medical Team and representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), expressing appreciation for their prompt assistance and continued support to Sri Lanka during this challenging period....
