Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- A special programme has been implemented to enable foreign investors to launch investment programmes without delay, Industrial Exports, Investment Promotion, Tourism and Aviation Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said.

The government hopes to bring in more foreign investors to the country within the next five years. This new programme has been launched to achieve this target in keeping with the President's 'Vision of Prosperity and Splendour' policy, he added.

He said under this programme, two special committees have been set up to expedite investment project approvals. They are the Project Investigation Committee and the Land Allocation Committee of the Board of Investment.
