Sri Lanka, Feb. 20 -- The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court has ordered the release of former Ministry Secretary Anusha Pelpita on bail.

Pelpita had been remanded in custody over allegations involving embezzlement.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama issued the order after evaluating submissions made by both the Bribery Commission officials and the legal counsel representing the suspect.
