Srilanka, Feb. 17 -- Another 13 Sri Lankans who were forcibly detained in cyber crime camps in Myanmar have been rescued.

Foreign Ministry sources said the rescued include 11 men and two young women between 20 and 30. They are reportedly safe and will be transferred from the Thailand border to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Bangkok. From there they will be sent to Sri Lanka shortly.

Four other Sri Lankans remain in cyber crime camps in Myanmar and Foreign Ministry sources said that efforts are underway to secure their release as well.

Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath recently sought assistance from the Thai Foreign Minister and Myanmar's Deputy Prime Minister to rescue the Lankan's detained in cybercrime camps.
