Srilanka, March 5 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa yesterday urged the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) to refrain from engaging in unjustified trade union actions that would inconvenience the public.

Minister Jayatissa told Parliament that despite the prevailing economic challenges, the Government had provided the maximum possible salary increment to doctors. He assured that the Government remains open to discussions with any trade union to address their concerns.
