Srilanka, March 13 -- A total of 1,371 women in Sri Lanka were subjected to online sexual harassment last month alone, according to the Sri Lanka CERT (Computer Emergency Readiness Team), Colombo University Senior Lecturer Dr. Prathiba Mahanamahewa said.

Speaking at an event organized by the Kandy District Coordination Office of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka to mark International Women's Day, Dr. Mahanamahewa highlighted the alarming rise in online sexual harassment and the lack of legal action despite numerous complaints.
