Sri Lanka, Jan. 19 -- According to Dr. Gunawardena, the Air Quality Index (AQI) values since yesterday (18 January) have ranged between 150 and 200 in the Northern, North Central, North Western, Western, and Southern provinces, as well as in Ratnapura and Kegalle districts. He noted that this decline is caused by air circulation between borders and is expected to subside within the next two days.

The CEA warns that the current air quality may pose risks for sensitive individuals, and anyone experiencing breathing difficulties or allergies should seek medical advice promptly. The authority continues to monitor the country's air quality closely.
