Srilanka, Feb. 14 -- Ahimsa Wickrematunge has condemned the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) and its president, Anura B. Meddegoda, for alleged hypocrisy and double standards in defending Attorney General Parinda Ranasinghe amid claims of justice failures.

In a strongly worded letter, Wickrematunge accused the Attorney General of deliberately obstructing the investigation into the murder of her father, journalist Lasantha Wickrematunge, while selectively intervening in other cases.

She called for the Attorney General's impeachment and urged the BASL to take a firm stand in support of justice.
