Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- An agreement to increase the daily wages of estate workers was signed today (30) at the Ministry of Plantations and Community Infrastructure, between the Ministry of Plantations and Community Infrastructure, the Ministry of Labor, and regional plantation companies.

The decision follows proposals in the 2025 budget presented by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, which aimed to raise estate workers' salaries in line with increases in the public and private sectors.
