Sri Lanka, Jan. 27 -- The Attorney General's Department yesterday informed the Supreme Court that action has been initiated to institute both criminal and civil proceedings against Sea Consortium Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, the local agent of the MV X-Press Pearl, in compliance with directions issued by the Court following the maritime disaster.Sri Lanka travel guide

Appearing for the Attorney General, Additional Solicitor General Nerin Pulle told Court that applications had been filed before the Magistrate's Court and the High Court, resulting in travel bans being obtained against the directors and principal executive officers of Sea Consortium Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
