Srilanka, April 19 -- Showers or thundershowers are expected in several areas of the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts, particularly during the afternoon or night. Some locations in these regions may experience fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 50 mm.

Meanwhile, morning showers are likely in the Western Province and in the Galle, Matara, and Puttalam districts.

The general public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damage from temporary localized strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.
