Sri Lanka, Nov. 24 -- The total number of deaths resulting from the severe weather conditions across the country has risen to nine, with the landslide in Kadugannawa that claimed six lives. The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) further reports that four individuals have been injured due to the adverse weather, while 1,740 people from 487 families have been affected. According to the DMC, two houses have been completely destroyed and 186 partially damaged. Additionally, 16 individuals from five families have been relocated to emergency shelters.
