Sri Lanka, Sept. 15 -- The Asian Development Bank expects to provide new loans totaling USD 790 million (plus grant of USD 6.9 million) this year (2025) to Sri Lanka subject to approval by ADB's Board of Directors, and subject to government satisfying required policy actions for Policy-based loans (PBLs).
Under the category Policy-based loans (PBL) for budget support: USD 100 million will be provided for Financial Sector Stability and Reforms Program - SP 3., USD 100 million for Power Sector Reforms and Financial Sustainability Programs, USD 100 million for strengthening Macroeconomic Resilience and Transparency - SP 1 and USD 70 million for Sustainable Tourism Sector Development Program - SP 1.
