Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- The Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court today (3) ordered the release of popular actor Hemal Ranasinghe on bail.

Ranasinghe was taken into custody earlier following allegations of assaulting an individual. After considering the facts presented regarding the incident, the Magistrate ordered the suspect to be released on a surety bond of Rs. 100,000.
