Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- Deputy Defence Minister Aruna Jayasekara said the Government is taking action to regulate private security service providers to improve the quality of their services.
Speaking at the Kandy District Conference of the Retired Tri-Forces Association, held at the Kandy Postal Auditorium, Jayasekara emphasised the need for a structured approach to enhance the standards of private security personnel. A new programme has been launched to enhance their professional standing and ensure that security guards play a more responsible role in safeguarding premises.
