Sri Lanka, May 1 -- The Welfare Benefits Board said that a special programme is being implemented to enforce the law against people who receive Aswesuma benefits by providing false information.

Welfare Benefits Board Chairman Jayantha Wijeratne said that the relevant circular has been issued to all District Secretaries and Divisional Secretaries. If the information given to obtain Aswesuma benefits is found to be false in whole or in part, there are provisions under the Welfare Benefits Board Act No. 24 of 2002 to deal with it.
