Srilanka, May 5 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Acting Ministers for four ministries in view of his departure on an official State visit to Vietnam, undertaken at the invitation of Vietnam's President Luong Cuong.
The appointments cover three ministries under the President's purview - the Defence Ministry, the Digital Economy Ministry and Finance, Planning and Economic Development Ministry as well as the Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Ministry, which comes under the purview of Minister Vijitha Herath, who is accompanying the President.
Accordingly, the following Acting Ministers have been appointed:
