Srilanka, Nov. 8 -- The school system is to shift to a new education model which will be a learning centred one, according to Education Ministry Secretary Nalaka Kaluwewa. He added that this would mark the beginning of a long term transformation of the education sector. He also said that preparing teachers for the new education system is one of the Ministry's main responsibilities. The new changes will focus more on providing practical knowledge and skills to students rather than textbook or rote learning.
