Sri Lanka, Aug. 10 -- According to a news report, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) top brass at a meeting with President Ranil Wickremesinghe had requested him not to reappoint Cabinet Ministers in the Gotabaya Rajapaksa Government accused of corruption or those with questionable reputations and tainted in other ways.

"We told the President that Ministers with a dubious past and who are unpopular among the public appointed by the former President must not be accommodated in the Cabinet of the proposed All Party Government (APG) to which the President responded positively," the news reports quoted SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera as saying.
