Srilanka, April 8 -- The results of the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination are expected to be released after the Sinhala and Tamil New Year period, Commissioner General of Examinations Amit Jayasundara confirmed yesterday (7).

Dispelling rumors, Jayasundara stated that reports claiming the results would be released today or tomorrow are false, and the Department of Examinations has not made any official announcement regarding an exact date.

The A/L examination was conducted from November 25 to December 31, 2024, across 2,312 centers islandwide. A total of 333,183 candidates sat for the exam, comprising 253,390 school candidates and 79,793 private candidates.
