Sri Lanka, Feb. 20 -- The Kaduwela Magistrate's Court has issued a 90-day detention order for Dilina Pramodya Hapuarachchi, widely known as "Polgasowita Dila", for further interrogation in connection with the brutal killing of a lawyer and his wife in Akuregoda. The detention follows his initial 72-hour remand after being arrested.
On February 13, Attorney-at-Law Buddhika Mallawarachchi (44) and his wife, W. A. Nisansala (42), were shot dead in a supermarket parking lot in Akuregoda, Thalangama, near the Army Headquarters.
