Sri Lanka, Nov. 6 -- The award ceremony of the 2025 Palasa Literary Competition, organised by Alumni Organisation of University of Colombo, was convened on October 25, 2025 at the New Art Gallery, Colombo. This event was held in conjunction with the 33rd Annual Conference and Friendly Gathering of Alumni Organisation, marking a significant moment in the institution's cultural calendar.

Established in 2023, the Palasa Literary Competition was conceived as a platform to cultivate and recognise creative expression among the student community. Its overarching aim is to foster a publishing ecosystem responsive to contemporary socio-cultural currents.
