Sri Lanka, Sept. 4 -- The Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha organised the 'Wattala Kite Festival' at the Pamunugama Sarakku Kanda Beach, with Industries, Science and Technology Minister Professor Chrishantha Abeysekera, as the Chief Guest, last Saturday (30).

There were two categories such as Children's Open (ages 6 -16) and Adult Open (ages 16 and above). Prizes were awarded for the most creative kite, largest kite and smallest kite.

This festival, organised by Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha, with the guidance of Chairman Brihan Abdeen. A large gathering of dignitaries, politicians, and officials, including Pradeshiya Sabha Secretary, Sanjeewa Malaka Bandara, and a group of foreign tourists were present.
