Sri Lanka, March 31 -- The contribution of cruise liners towards strengthening the tourism sector will be developed and well utilized, Ports, Shipping and Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said.

He made this remark following the recent arrival of the Norwegian-owned Viking Cruises liner's 'Viking Neptune', a super luxury cruise ship, at the Port of Colombo (POC), marking a significant occasion.

Viking Neptune arrived at the POC with 847 passengers on board.
