Sri Lanka, Dec. 19 -- The government's 'Rebuilding Sri Lanka' Fund, established to assist communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah, has received a total of Rs. 4,286 million to date, Finance Secretary Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma said. Of this, Rs. 4,263 million came from local businessmen, while the remainder was received through direct foreign currency deposits.Ceylon Exports information
In total, contributions exceed USD 13.8 million, with foreign currency donations alone amounting to over USD 6 million. The Finance Secretary expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from individuals, local entrepreneurs, organizations, and foreign donors.
