Sri Lanka, Nov. 19 -- Responding to reports circulating on websites and social media, State Minister Nalinda Jayatissa today (19) raised concerns in Parliament regarding Namal Rajapaksa's admission to the Sri Lanka Law College.
Citing investigative findings by journalist Nirmala Kannangara, the minister highlighted that Rajapaksa's City University, London degree, which he used to gain admission, may not have met the eligibility requirements for Law College entry in 2009. According to the investigation, Rajapaksa submitted his application on 25 September 2009 and was admitted on the same day-a process that normally takes much longer, as the authenticity of foreign qualifications must first be verified.
