Sri Lanka, Oct. 3 -- Raigam Group Chairman Dr. Ravi Liyanage said that several new salt manufacturing sites should be established to meet the local salt requirement and to achieve self-sufficiency in salt.
He stated that both the private sector and the public sector can intervene to build these new salterns with novel technology. He made these remarks while addressing the media regarding the recent scarcity of salt, at the Banking Institute of Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), Rajagiriya.
