Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- 'Lightning Strikers' team emerged champions of the netball tournament conducted by the Sri Lankan Association of Washinton DC in USA. The tournament was conducted as a part of 'Sri Lankan Day' celebration in Maryland, USA. The champion Lightning Strikers team overcame stiff competition from teams representing Maryland and New York on their way to the title.

Sri Lanka Ambassador to USA, Mahinda Samarasinghe was the chief guest at the award ceremony.
