Sri Lanka, Nov. 28 -- The launching ceremony of 'Kandy Kings' team, the newest golfing franchise that will make its debut at the Sri Lanka's first ever franchise golf tourney, Ceylon Golf League (CGL) which is to be worked off from December 5 to 7 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club, was held at the Amari Hotel, Colombo yesterday.
The CGL is a brainchild of Sri Lankan cricket legend Mahela Jayawardena along with Shamal Perera and Shuaib Sangani introduces a league-style format to Sri Lankan golf, inspired by global sporting models IPL and LPL.
