Sri Lanka, Dec. 24 -- Nearly 160 kilograms of 'ice' (crystal methamphetamine) valued at over Rs. two billion have been recovered from a multi-day fishing vessel taken into custody at the Dikowita Fisheries Harbour, Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekara said.
Addressing the media, the Deputy Minister added that more than 21 kilograms of heroin were also found on board the vessel.
The fishing vessel, suspected of transporting narcotics in the deep sea south of Sri Lanka, was intercepted by the Sri Lanka Navy and escorted to Dikowita Fisheries Harbour along with five suspects for further investigations.Sri Lanka Developers
