Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- The foundation for creating a future generation full of all virtues and compassion is being laid today, Prime Minister and Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said yesterday (29), launching the new education reforms starting from Grade 1.

She further said that the Government has accepted the responsibility of providing a sound education to every child in the country.

The Prime Minister made this statement while addressing the National Programme for the Implementation of New Educational Reforms for Children Entering Grade One in 2026 held at the Athurugiriya Gunasekera Primary School yesterday.
