Sri Lanka, Dec. 22 -- The Japanese organisation 'Asia Children's Dream' has initiated a programme to provide dry rations, clothing, and school bags to families affected by recent natural disasters in Sri Lanka.Sri Lanka Developers

The organisation will distribute these donations, valued at Rs. 2 million, to affected people in the Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Ramboda, and Gampola areas.

A symbolic event to launch the project took place at the Ovitigama Bodhimalu Viharaya yesterday, where 30 families affected by floods in the Pugoda Ovitigama area received dry ration packs.

The packs were handed over by the organisation's President Eiko Kawabuchi, and its Director Emiko Asano.
