Jakarta, March 16 -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), on Friday, visited the Sibuhuan Regional Public Hospital in Padang Lawas District, North Sumatra, to ensure optimal services, including those covered by state health insurer BPJS Kesehatan.

"I wanted to ensure that this hospital offers proper services. I have learned that the registration of BPJS services was running swiftly," he told journalists after the inspection, according to a statement issued by his secretariat in Jakarta.

Jokowi noted that the Sibuhuan Hospital is currently empowered by 17 specialist doctors, significantly exceeding the minimum of seven specialist doctors stationed at a regional public hospital.
