Nairobi, Feb. 9 -- Former Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe has been set free in the murder case of business executive Monica Nyawira Kimani.

Justice Grace Nzioka acquitted her on Friday as she faulted prosecution for preferring the wrong charge.

However, Ms. Maribe's former lover Joseph Irungu alias Jowie was found guilty of Kimani's murder. Judge Nzioka said the prosecution proved its case against Jowie beyond reasonable doubt.
