Nairobi, March 15 -- The court on Friday suspended the doctors' strike to allow the parties conclude the ongoing negotiations.

Justice Byram Ongaya further expanded the conciliation committee appointed by the Ministry of Labour to include Head of Public Service, ministries of Finance, Public Service, Salaries and Remuneration Commission and Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE).

The judge gave the parties until March 20 to come up with minimum services to be offered, including the number of doctors in each cadre in case a consensus on the grievances raised by the doctors is not reached.
